Unsung Heroines…..

I am a girl. I am not going to paint the usual horrifying picture of the condition of females in India.. i want to talk about girls all over the world and the ones living galaxies away in a parallel world..human beings are basically of two types- male and female. They are not only different in physical characteristics but also at every other level be it emotional or the entire process of thinking, deciding and reacting to any situation in life..
- Physical strength: well men play five sets in lawn tennis where as women play three..yes, that is the way we are built. But do men really justify their physical strength while merrily watching a girl being molested in front of hundreds or in a casual case of teasing which happens every day in trains, buses, shops and even homes?? Its better we don’t possess such dysfunctional quality.
- Endurance index: when it comes to endurance, none can beat a woman. After all, she bears it all- be it menstrual pain or pain during childbirth. She quietly bears it all; never expecting acknowledgment or assistance of any form.
- Emotional quotient: this is also a domain of dominance by women. Life is not a mere display of vitality of muscles or aggression of testosterone. It takes a lot more to carve a niche of your own. And by the way, if you are getting carried away by tears then let me clarify- tears are an expression and show the degree of sensitivity of a person but does not quantify ones inner strength to face facts in life.
- Creation of life: this one seems impossible for a man [barring a few weird cases of sex change!]. Nature has bestowed upon us this unique power to provide shelter to God’s creation of new abode for a wandering soul. It seems even God feels that we are more responsible beings than the other half!
But a life is formed by the union of a male and a female and therefore it becomes an EQUAL responsibility of both to look after their child. If mom is busy at work, dad cannot shrug off his duties. If women demand equal rights, they also demand equal duties [ not a biased share!] Mother is an embodiment of love, care and sacrifice.
5. Intelligence: the number of women working in professional may not be equal to number of men; but the number is rising rapidly. Conclusion- given a chance, we can do it as well.
6.Confidence: perhaps a majority of us try to underplay our own respect in society. Take pride in being a woman so that men can take pride in being in company of such powerful women!
Women are a beautiful, artistic and beloved creation of God. Then what’s your problem man??? Keep your ego a wee bit behind and enjoy the grace of a woman.
